A narrow informal garden with a SW aspect, developed to meet the requirements of a Tudor Herbalist re-enactor. The garden is on four levels. The first level is predominantly flower beds with herbs being introduced progressively on the second and third levels. The informal layout means that herbs mix with plants like the mature Melianthus and Clematis climb over other plants.

The garden was developed in 1998 to meet the owners' hobby as a Tudor Herbalist re- enactor. Familiar kitchen herbs are grown alongside lesser known herbs such as Butterbur, Motherwort and Elecampane. Some new world herbs such as Hamamelis (witch hazel), Oenothera (evening primrose) and Echinacea have found there way in. Roses were chosen for scents that resembled roses used in Tudor times.
